DRINKING WATER PROBLEM CORRECTED

Louviers Water and Sanitation District

The Meter replacement project required the water system be shut down for two dates last week--thanks everyone for you cooperation with us during those activities.

We notified you on September 05, 2025 of a problem with our drinking water and you were advised that on September 9, 2025, due to a loss of pressure to the System due to an operational issue, loss of pressure may allow disease-causing organisms to enter the water system.

Since the “Boil Water Advisory” was issued, the Department has received the following information from the Supplier:

○ The Supplier flushed the system and average system chlorine residuals were brought down to normal levels after the flush.
○ The Supplier provided a written description of flushing activities and confirmation that the
lowest chlorine residual at the ends of the system.
○ Confirmation that the samples taken were free from the presence of total coliform bacteria.
Based upon the actions taken by the Supplier, the “Boil Water Advisory'' is hereby rescinded.

Effective date of this action is September 15, 2025. The affected customers should be notified of the lifting of the “Boil Water Advisory.”

We are pleased to report that the problem has been corrected. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
